Przez ostatnie trzy, może maksymalnie 5 lat, bieganie stało się bardzo modne. Wcześniej kiedy widziano biegającą osobę w naszym kraju, pukano się w czoło i patrzono jak na dziwaka. Kiedy ta najprostsza forma rekreacji i dbania o swoją kondycję fizyczną wyszła z ukrycia i z roku na rok coraz więcej ludzi „publicznie” zaczęła biegać, rynek oszalał. Firmy prześcigają się w nowinkach technicznych, oddychających i inteligentnych koszulkach, zegarkach, które teraz chyba tylko nie piorą, butach dzięki którym szybciej biegamy. 😉 Wszystko fajnie, tylko te wszystkie gadżety nie poprawią techniki biegi, ba nie pokażą czy nie wymuszą kroku, który nie zrobi nam w dłuższej perspektywie krzywdy, nie podpowiedzą nam, którą drogę obrać, żeby czerpać z biegania przyjemność. Z pomocą idą trenerzy biegania…ale nie każdego stać na opłacanie lekcji z taką osobą, są również portale społecznościowe, ale nie wszyscy ufają osobom wypowiadającym się na nich. Trzeci kanał to książki i publikacje fachowców, czy byłych doświadczonych biegaczy. Na fali mody na bieganie, w księgarniach pojawiło się wiele tytułów dotyczących tej dyscypliny. Dzięki wydawnictwu innespacery.pl otrzymałem do zapoznania się z jedną z nich.
„Biegać mądrze” – Richarda Benyo
W książce tej na próżno szukać gotowych planów treningowych, nie ma też poradników jak dobierać odzież czy gadżety „pomagające” biegać. Znajdziemy w niej zbiór wiedzy 15 ludzi – mistrzów olimpijskich, organizatorów największych maratonów, naukowców i zawodowych sportowców. Jest to książka, która na samym początku zaskoczyła mnie prostotą podejścia do biegania. Osoby, które mają już jakiś staż biegowy, przygotowywały się według określonych zasad (czytaj planów) do startów, osoby które przebiegły już kilka maratonów czy półmaratonów, czytając tę książkę odniosą wrażenie, że są tam opisywane sprawy bardzo podstawowe. Takie, od których większość z nas zaczynała. Biegając czerpaliśmy (i nadal to robimy) niekończącą się przyjemność. Już w pierwszym rozdziale autor przypomina, że bieganie jest najprostszą i najbardziej fundamentalną czynnością i nie ma co jej komplikować, żeby wsłuchiwać się we własny organizm…bicie serca, oddech, a nie kurczowo trzymać się założonych temp i odczytów z zegarków. Bieganie ma być przyjemnością, a nie orką i zajeżdżaniem swojego ciała.
Jak to bywa, ile autorytetów tyle opinii i rad. Kolejne rozdziały zostały tak ułożone, że jedne są jakby zaprzeczeniem kolejnych, ale również niosące dużą dawkę prawd. Po radach, żeby biegać i jednoczyć się z naturą, bez obwieszania się w gadżety i rywalizacji, kolejne rozdziały proponuje nam spróbowania się w zawodach. Oczywiście nie można żądać od siebie zbyt dużo na początku, bo albo się tym znudzimy, albo dorobimy się kontuzji. Poruszane są tematy dzienniczków biegowych, ścigania się itp. Są to sprawy, do których większość biegaczy dochodziła powoli…dojrzewali z czasem do pewnych spraw. W tej książce są podane dwa kierunki…chcesz biegaj sam, nie chcesz to biegaj w grupie. Proste.
Dla kogo jest ta książka…myślę, że powinny po nią sięgnąć osoby chcące rozpocząć przygodę z bieganiem. Pomoże im ona poukładać sobie w głowie kilka rzeczy, a w szczególności oczekiwania jakie mamy wobec biegania (forma ruchu rekreacyjnego czy może konkurowanie na zawodach). Jako że rozdziały w tej książce nie są ze sobą powiązane, w każdym momencie można wybrać interesujący temat i do niego wrócić, czytając go jako odrębny artykuł. Podoba mi się w niej formuła pewnych propozycji trenowania, żeby w kolejnym rozdziale je zanegować (np. Biegaj więcej – Biegaj mniej). Każdy ma swój rozum i powinien czuć czego chce i w jakim kierunku chce rozwijać swoje umiejętności.
Dla bardziej doświadczonych w boju, skierował bym drugą część książki. Jeśli odczuwamy znużenie ciągłymi treningami, możemy zacząć angażować się w innych sferach…wolontariat, kibicowanie, a może wgłębianie teoretycznej wiedzy i przekazywanie jej innym. Jeśli to nie pomoże zawsze można wrócić do korzeni i rozpocząć bieganie od początku, wtedy pierwsze rozdziały będą jak znalazł. 😉
